And you don't need to bother...
* Virginia native (DC area); family in VA since the 1500's. I have always loved Virginia. Ironically, I had my first trip to Dublin in Oct. 2002, and it shocked me how parts of Ireland looked just like DC/Virginia. That made it hard to come back, because I already felt like I was home!
* Steel Magnolia/Neo-Southern Belle by upbringing. Mostly Irish, Scottish, & Manx by heritage, including several royal lines (for all the good it's done me.); plus some Cherokee. Also Penna Dutch/Dutch/German.
* Adoptee who found her birth parents. Proud mother of 1 (so far).
Below are some of my interests, but the list is not all-inclusive.
* I am the quintessential Aquarius/Pisces cusp; highly traditional in some ways, very much not in others. Die-hard romantic. Creative, intellectual, gregarious, quick-witted, passionate, connected, esoteric, visionary, willful, fragile, eccentric, resilient.
* I live and breathe music & performing arts. To me, Life has a soundtrack.
* I still feel a sense of childlike wonder at times, despite a life no child should ever have to bear.
* I have the hallmark Irish temper, and a mercurial & dramatic bent at times, but I am still good-hearted in spite of that.
* I can forgive almost anything except deliberate abuse or lying, which receive no mercy. A person's word is gold; the measure of their character.
* I believe my room should look like a magical fairy kingdom, sound like a sacred peaceful sanctuary, and smell like an opium den.
I don't believe in random acts of kindness - commit DELIBERATE ones. And start at home.
